Some cats eat grass from time to time. The reasons for the cat to do this are not fully understood but suggestions are that the grass acts as roughage for the cat and also helps the cat digest fur balls and induce vomitting to get rid of the fur ball.
The act of doing this is not harmful to the cat but only if the grass hasn't been sprayed with harmful pesticides.
It may be worth supplying your cat with a pot or tray of of growing grass, particularly if thet are indoor cats.
If however the grass eating is part of prolonged vomiting or if the vomit contains blood consult your vet.
The reason for your cat's behaviour maybe due to an underlying medical reason. If you are concerned about your cat, always consult your vet or a cat behaviourist for professional, qualified advice.
